Assessments & Diagnostic Services for Adults
Private ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disability Assessments
Finding the right professional for a neurodiversity assessment can feel overwhelming. At PATH North West, I offer a structured, rigorous and highly personalised process from start to finish. All assessments are carried out by a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with 18+ years of post-doctoral experience, giving you clarity and support you can trust.
Whether you're looking for an ADHD online assessment, an autism assessment, or a cognitive assessment (IQ or learning disability assessment), you’ll receive high-quality care from the same clinician throughout. No agencies. No being passed from person to person. Just one dedicated, experienced professional working with you.
Autism Assessment
Specialist Autism Assessment: online and In-Person Appointments in Manchester
Many adults reach out after years of feeling different, socially drained or misunderstood. If you've been wondering whether autism could explain your experience, a private autism assessment can provide answers and direction. We follow NICE guidelines and use gold-standard diagnostic tools, combined with a comprehensive developmental history. This ensures you receive a clear, accurate and respectful diagnosis. You’ll be assessed by the same clinician from start to finish, with no need to repeat your story. Autism assessments are available online across the UK or in Manchester.

After your diagnosis, we can support you with post-diagnostic sessions if needed, subject to availability.
ADHD Assessment
Evidence-Based ADHD Online and In-Person Assessments without a long wai
Private ADHD assessments help adults make sense of longstanding challenges. Whether you're seeking clarity, support for work adjustments, or exploring treatment options, a professional diagnosis can be life-changing.II use NICE-compliant clinical interviews, diagnostic screening tools, and a detailed behavioural history to assess for ADHD in adults. ADHD symptoms can present differently in adulthood, especially for those who mask symptoms. My assessments take this into account. You can choose to be assessed in person if you’re based in Manchester or via secure online video consultation nationwide or internationally. Every assessment includes a full written report

Learning Disability or Cognitive Assessment
Cognitive & Learning Disability Assessments for Adults
Having worked in the field of learning disabilities in the NHS for 22 years, I offer comprehensive assessments for adults seeking clarity around their cognitive functioning or suspected learning disabilities.
This may be helpful for work support, benefits applications, therapy adaptations, access to services or general understanding.

Cognitive assessments
Where needed I assess intellectual functioning (using a gold standard IQ assessment) including memory, processing speed, and cognitive strengths and weaknesses. An IQ assessment may be needed as part of an assessment to determine if you or someone you support has a learning disability, which can be helpful for access to local NHS services or simply to understand yours or someone else’s diagnoses. An IQ assessment can also be useful for other purposes, such as to understand your cognitive profile better and make appropriate adaptations.

What Happens After the Assessment?
Once your assessment is complete, you will receive a full written diagnostic report along with a personalised feedback session. This session will explain your results in clear terms and offer guidance on what the diagnosis means for you. You’ll also receive practical recommendations that can support you in areas such as daily functioning, therapy, or disclosing your diagnosis to others.
