About me
I am a qualified and HCPC registered clinical psychologist. I completed my doctoral training in 2007, and since that time I have worked for the NHS in learning disability and autism services. I began working privately in 2015, because I wanted the variety and freedom that doing so offers, as well as wishing to offer people options where people did not wish to wait for NHS services. I aim to keep my services as affordable as possible so that my service is as accessible to as many people as possible.
Since qualifying I have had further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and I am trained in the use of several gold standard autism assessment tools. I am accredited with the National Autistic Society. I am also trained in assessing for ADHD.
My goal in my work is to make a difference in the lives of others. I believe in the utility of the therapies and assessments I offer, and will always strive to ensure they are tailored as to be as useful to you as possible. I understand the central importance of the therapeutic relationship, and want you to feel heard, understood and supported.
